For this excursion day, towards the heart of the mountain pastures, in a traditional village of Aravis, only 35km from Annecy

  • Morning drive to the Aravis area
  • Visit of an alpine village and its Heritage Museum (Maison du Patrimoine)
  • Lunch in the pastures
  • Visit to a Master Artisan Saddler
  • Visit of a Dairy Coop and cheese tasting

You leave Lake Annecy, enjoying splendid views of the lake and the mountains and reach the Annecy Mountains.

Your day starts with the visit of a farm (protected as Historic Monument) built in 1830, restored and furnished. You discover the daily life of yesteryear as well as the specific wooden architectural design of the 19th century in the Bornes-Aravis region. From the cellar to the attic, immerse you in the mountain atmosphere of the past.

Enjoy lunch in a peaceful place in the pasture

Towards to a  local character... Master Artisan Saddler. More than only a  profession, a passion, a know-how, and a 100% French manufacturing!
He works in an artisanal way with old tools in order to perpetuate the know-how and the heritage of the saddler's trade

Then drive back in the valley. When cheeses are not produced directly on the farm, the local milk is sent to this cooperative.
You will discover the cellars of Tommes and Reblochon.
A tasting of several Savoyard cheeses (with a glass of white Savoy wine of course!) is included
